RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE PAEJttOA CLUB. LAST SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The third competition for the Club Championship amj Handicap aggregate, was fired on Saturday afternoon at the 500 and 600 ranges. The were against high scoring owing to the changing light and the heavy rain which fell during the shooting at 600 yards. The trophy allotted to this competition, presented by Mr R. Flatt, was won by Rfm. w. A. Reid, who finished with the same total as Deputy-Presi-dent F. C. Hubbard but had the best score at the longest range. The score,s were as follows 1— Rfm. W. A. Reid, 29 at 500y<fc, 28 Mt 6(hlyds, (5)—62 ; Dep.-Pres. Hubbard, 33, 27 (2) —62 ; Capt. Simmonds, 30, 31 (scr.)—6l; Rfm. R. Roberts, 31,21 (8)—60 ; Rfm. A. A. Jenkinson, 28, 2a (5) —5B ; Rfm. R. Wells, 31, 22 (4)— 57. Three others made under 55. The leading scores fox the Club Championship are H. Simmonds 187, F. c. Hubbard 182, and W. A. Reid 175. The three leading in the Hcjndicap aggregate are W. A. Reid 190, F. C. Hubbard 188, and A. A. Jenkinson 179. Next Saturday a practice will be fired at 800 and 900 yards.
