AFTERNOON AT THE SCHOOL.
Wo the Editor.} Sir,—As a mother J would like through the medium of your paper co convey my thanks, and appreciation to the staff of .the Paeroa infant school for the very nice afternoon arranged by them last week. The bright, happy, natural items of tne children showed the companionship existing between them and the teachers, while the wonderful dis-; play of handwork in various forms portrayed the skilful guidance of the leaders in bringing out talents. Also, I would like to mention the social arranged by the high school staff for the, senior pupils. The thoughtful arrangement of games, and competitions was capably carried out, and the tone of the evening showed the esprit de corps that evidently exfrom infant to sepondary school. Paeroa is fortunate in its excellent school. G. HUTCHINSON.
