THE ASSOCIATION COMPETITION. PAEROA LEADING IN POINTS. Following is the position qf the clubs in the Piako Cricket Association’s competition : Paercp, 7 points; Morrinsville, 6 points ; Te Ar oh a and Waitoa, 4 points. Paeroa and Morrinsville have one match tq play in the second round. There is also another round to be played, which will start after the holidays. SCHOOLBOYS? MATCH. visit to Ngatea. At Ngatea on, Saturday last the Paeroa primary team played a combined primary and high school team, the visitors winning by an innings and 3 runs. Ngatea scored 21 r.uns to the first innings (A. Sparrqw 9). Dowling for Paeroa, Arnold took 4 for 6, Shand 5 for 9. Paerqa knocked up 42- (M. Curtis 22). Rowling for Nga- t tea, Foscer took 6 for 16, Keane 1 for 18. In the second innings, Ngatea lost five 'wickets for 5 runs, and the' last wicket fell at 18. Arnold took 5 for 4, Curtis 4 for 6, Shand 1 for 6. The Ngatea boys entertained paerpa at lunch. MATCHES GN PLAINS* The cricket matches on the Hauraki Plains which were postponed oji Saturday last as a mark of respect to the late Mr C. Lawrence, of Kopuarahi, will be played to-mqr,row. Kopuarahi will play Pipiroa at Kopua-; rahi, Orongo will play at Waitakaruru, and Ngatea and Kaihere Will epntinue their game at Ngatea.
