BOWLING.
NIGHT PLAY TOURNEYS. SEASON COMMENCED. There was a good muster at the Paeroa bowling green last' night to take part in the opening of the night bowling tourneys. The president, Mr J. W. Silcock, welcomed the ladies to the green and expressed a hope that many pleasant evenings would be spent.
At the c,lose of the play the winners were congratulated, and a very nice supper, provided by the. ladies, was partaken cf.
The scores were as follows :— Mrs Smith, Mrs Holes, Ashcroft, Smith 5, v. Mrs Masters, Mrs Hale, Jeff, Hale 30 (winners) ; Mrs Bassett, Mrs Silcock, Bassett, Silcock 12, v.
