BOWLER SHIELD MATCH. PAEROA LOSES TO WAITOA. The Bowler Shield competition commenced on Saturday, when Waitoa visited Paeroa to meqt the local team, the holders/of the trophy. The game ended in a win for Waitoa by 27 runs. Following are the details :—

Cricket matches, on the Hauraki Plains qp Saturday resulted in Wai.takaruru winning from Pipiroa by 94 runs, having added 44 to the lead established on the previous Saturday. Kopuarahi added 115 runs to its previous total of 75, and beat Kerepeehi, which team had added 71, by 5.1 runs. Ngatea, playing against Or.ongq, increased its lead from 24 to 41.
