PUKE ROAD DRAINS.
(To the Editor.!
Sir,—As a resident of Puke Road I wish, to ask how much longer, the blackberries and briars will be alii wad to grow alongside and in the d ain. Petwee.n the shadow cast from .the hedge and that from the bushes in the drain the path is hardly discernible at night, and even in the daytime is so narrow that one, can hardly keep a pram .wheeled straight on it. As for the bridge, it is fine in many ways, but the big 'drain having been left unprotected* at the side, the whole, effect is spoiled and a dangerous place is left open for children. Knowing the many improvements and innovations so lately brought about in the town one must make allowances, but surely it is time the dlrain and footpath were attended to.
A MiOTHER.
