MOTORING FATALITY.
CAR GOES OVER CLIFF. MANAIA HILL ACCIDENT. THREE KILLED & THREE INJURED Three persons were killed and three injured as a result of a car going over a 60ft cliff on Manaia Hill, qn the Thamqs,-,Coromandel road, yesterday afternoon. KILLED. William Wilson, senr., of Devonport Mrs W. Wilson, junr., of Thames. Jessie Wilson, aged 3, daughter, of Mr and Mrs W. Wlilson, junr. INJURED. Mr. William Wilson, junr, wqrks manager, of A. and G. Price’s foundry, Thames. Margaret Wilson, aged 7, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Wilson, Junr,. Mr V. C. Carroll, Government inspector at Price’s foundry. Details of t»he mishap are not yet available, but it appears that while descending the hill the car was drawn to the roadside; for the purpose of Setting another car, which Was thought to bo c.oming Up behind, pass. The car stuck in the watertable, and extra speed was applied to start it, with the result that it shot across the rPad and over thq cliff.
