An excursion by train to Tauranga, organised by the Forresters’ Lodge, Waihi, in co-operation with the Druids’ and Oddfellows’ Lodges of Waihi, Waikino, Karangahake, and Paqroa, was held on Saturday last. The train comprised 16 carriages, which were well filled whep it left Waihi, but though over 100 tickets were sold in Paeroa only abqut half that number, made the trip. The Waihi 'Municipal Band and a party of Waihi bowlers wqre included! in the excursionists. A picnic, and sports for children were held in the Tauranga domain, while many crossed the harbour to Mt.
