MILITARY APPOINTMENT.
REGIMENTAL STAFF CHANGES.
CAPT. Gi. D. DITTMER FOR PAEROA.
Captain G. D. Dittmer, M.C., N.Z.S.C., adjutant Ist battalion, Waikato Regiment, ha® been appointed staff officer in charge of the No. 2 Regimental District at Paerpa, in place of Captain Goss, who left for England last month. Captain Dittmer was for five years in the ranks of the 6th (Hauraki) Regiment, four, years on the unattached list., and went ayray as a platoon sergeant with the main body Hqurakis and saw active service throughout the war. He was promoted lieutenant on October. 1, 1919, and captain in January, 1929, apd his first appointment was that of assistand group commander, No. 1 Group, Auckland, and then officer command!ing Group 3, Whangarei, until April, 1921, and senior officer, in charge of No. 3 Regimental District, Whangarei, until April, 1922. He was then appointed area officer 1A Auckland, and then adjutant N®. 3 N.Z.M.R., Auckland, and a r ea officer 4B and adjutant 3rd N.Z.M.R., Auckland, at Pukekohe. Since 1923 Captain Dittmer has been area officer at Hamilton and adjutant of the Waikato Infa;ntry Regiment.
