THE POLICE PATROL. To-morrow night “The Police Patrol” will be screened at the Turua Hall. This is an infatuating story of love and adventure coupled with, mystery in the identification of an innocent g,irl who has a “double” in a gang of thieves. ■ THE PRODIGAL SON. On Tuesday next will be screened the film version of Sir Hall Caine’s famous novel and stage play, “The Prodigal Son.” In a letter to the producer of this film, Mr A. E..'Coleby, Sir Hall Caine said : “Your picture is my story seen through a mi r ror. You set out to tell a human story that should touch the lives of millions, and you have never allowed yourself to be drawn off from it by the temptation to present merely spectacular scenes which are not of the essence of your theme. From the first moment to the last you ha,ve .tried to speak to the heart of your audience, and I think you have greatly succeeded.”
