THE THAMES VALLEY CLUB.
MEETING AT PAEROA.
A meeting of the Jeysey Breeders’ Club was held' in the County Chambers on Monday morning,, the following attending : Messrs E. Hoffman (chairman), G. Buchanan, B. E. Veale, W. F. Johnstone, and C. Townshend (secretary). It was decided to contribute the sum of £1 Is towards the presentation being arranged by the Cambridge Club to Mr G. F. McCullough for the great interest he has shown in the Jerseys. Speaking to the motion, Mr Buchanan said that Mr McCullough was the oply auctioneer who was thoroughly conversant with Jersey c.attle.
A letter was received rom Mr Missin accepting the p'ositoin of judlge qf the Jersey section at the foi.theoming show. It was decided to ask t'he secretary of the show to. circulate some schedules amongst Tauranga. breeders, and also canvass there, with a view to getting, Tauranga people interested in the Paeroa show. At the instance of tire seerqtai'y it was decided to have a tent at the entrance of the stock section, to distribute booklets and information about t'he Jersey breed. Members were asked to bring alqng snapshots of Jerseys, and other matter that would be of interest to the public. It was to hold the next meeting on the third Thursday in February, the meeting to take the form of a day qf inspection of Jerseys at Waitawheta and Waihi. Cars would leave Paeroa, at 10 o’clock.
An apology was received from Mr W. J. Ha.ll, who was to have read a paper on the preparation qf stock for show, as he was busy trucking his cattle for thq Auckland show-.
