OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB
SPRUNG MEETING. TO-MORROW’S PROGRAMCE. Good acceptances have been received for the seven i;aces which are to bq run At the Paeroja Racecourse ' to-morrow. This meeting is the first spring races that have been attempted by the club, and if the effort proves successful it is hoped to make; the event an annual one. This meeting should appeal to lover,s of true sport, as there will .not be a totalisator. Therq are 14 acceptances for, the first race, the Trial Handicap, of 5% furlongs, which starts at 1 p.m. For the Handicap Hurdles, 1% miles, Inhere ar,e nine acceptances ; eight for f the 6 furlongs, seven for the; Cup (I*4 miles), nine for the Lady’s Bracelet of 6 eleven for the Plains Handicap of 7 furlongs, and ten for the Publicans’ Purse, 6 furlcpgs. During the afternoon the Waihi Federal Band will play selections. . Given a fine day, it is anticipated that there will-be a large attendance a.t the meeting.
