CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.

A PLAINS PROPOSAL.

At the instance of the Kaiherq School Committee a ■ meeting xvas held at Ngatea last Thursday evening to discuss a proposal to (hold a Hauraki Plains schqol athletic championship sports meeting, the following school committees being represented : Kaihere, Tur.ua, Pipiroa, Kopuarahi, Ngatea, and Netherton. Mr .C. S. Foster, Ngatea, was appointed to preside. . . . . .

Mr Foster reported that application xvas being made to the trustees of the Herbert Smith Tnnst, Fund for a school championship trophy. The meeting instructed Mr Foster to obtain quotations for medals and-cups: suitable for prizes.
