MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

ARRANGEMENTS for SHOW.

A meeting of the committee of the Hauraki Agricultural and pastoral Association was held on Monday evening, the; president, Mr P. R- Hubbard, presiding over Messrs B- Gxvilliam, H. A. Mills, A. F. Steedxxxan, D. G. McMillan. D. Sheehan, J. A. Reid, A. JAndrews, L. Mahon, H. J. Har.e, and the secretary. Mr Edwin Edwards. The secretary -reported that the.re had been an exceptionally gpod response to the requests for donations, especially, frqm Paeroa business people.

The Thames Va.lley Jersey Breeders’ Club ixvrote- requesting that two novice classes for Jersey breeders be included in the schedule, i.e., peri** gree Jersey bull and heifey, to be exhibited by breeder .who has not .won a first prize during the; last three years.- ■■ .

The; committee agreed to accede, to the request and have the classes ’P* eluded in the schedule. It was alsc ; agreed to include, extra sheep classes, for ewe and ram hoggets, and a class for trotting brood .mare suitable; for breeding trotters. The appointment of a call steward: was left in the hands of the president, .chief horse steward, and the secretary, and arrangements for green feted were le;ft in the hanjds of Mr J. A. Reid.

, Canvassers were appointed as follows : Paejroa, Messrs Reid an|d Hare ; Netherton, Messrs McMillan and: Hubbard ; Thames and Waihi, Messrs A. J. Andrexvs and the secretary. After, some discussion on the advisability of holding a. smoke concert on the; night of the show, it was decided, on the motionl of Messrs Hare and Slxeehan, to hold one this year. Judges for the various classes were appointed, subject to acceptance. Luncheon arrangements similar to those of last year were; made. The president and) secretary reported that, judging by the support offered from exhibitors, thq 1 show promised to eclipse all those previously held.
