SAVED FROM SUICIDE.
AT SYDNEY GAP. A man and a wqman who were alleged to have gone to. Watson’s, Bay Sydney, with tliq intention of throwing themselves over -the Gap were seized by V&ucluse police and taken to the Reception House. The man, who came from Pyrmqnt, travelled by tram, ,a®ked the guard the way to the Gap. Being suspicious cf t'he man’s inteptions the guard! communicated with the polic.e station, and sergeant Strong a,nd Constable Bonami hurried to the scene. They took the: man to the police station, where he told the police that he was -the father of a.large family. He was out of work and could .no see any prospect of getting anything to do. While the man wag being interviewed wtord was received that a, woman was behaving in a suspicious manner near the cliffs, she was detained by a member, of the fire brigade and when questioned by the police explained' that she had been .suffering
