The Justice Department has asked cqroners tq request t,he Press not to publish the means whic.h caused death in suicide or other cas,es. The department states that when the means of death is published after inquests there' appear to follow numerous cases c.f dejath through the same cause. “That seem's to have been the case recently,” said the coroner (Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M.), after giving his verdict in a suicide case recently at. Christchurch. “Where qn-e mean/ a lias been used', and the method! published, qther ca|ses have followed. We want, to stop that sort of thing, if possible. I therefore request the Press to observe, tiie wish of the Justice Department.”
