THE KEREPEEHI CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The Kerepeehi Tennis Club held its Seventh annual meeting, at the residence of Mr G. Boswell op Tuesday evening. Mr N. Clay presiding over 15 members. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report was follows : - “In presenting the report apd bal-ance-sheet yoiur committee hast pleasure in congratulating the club on a successful season Concerning tennis competition'-', though, none was wop by club teppis, both seniors and juniors performed! creditably and members derived much pleasure therefrom. Club members patronised the Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s cha;mpionship and handicap tournaments in, strong fqrce, andthough ncs mepibcir succeeded in| actually winning any event., members did exceedingly well all round. “Several social afternoons, and friendly games were held on the courts during the sciasbn. “In the, early part, of the season, members gathered together in force al working bees, in an| attempt to improve the property by thq erection ol a paviliqn and the resurfacing of the, two courts. The roll number stood! at 18. men, 19 ladies, and 13 juniors. -The finances; of the club, although, not outstandingly buoyant, ara sound. “Evening play under 'summer-time’ conditions wasi vary popular, and the courts were always occupied. This was' a, pleasing indication of s,tr.ong, tal'ub activity. The end of the season lifids us ; without many old and very keen and valued members who; have lately Iqft the district. “The thanks of. the c.lub arc due tq those members and friends who combined to; assist in making the club’s activities, both on the courts and on the social Side, so happy and successful.” THE BALANCE-SHEET. .The balance-sheet showed that the season had cffimm&npecl with £l7 18s Id and' en;dcd with £9 9«i 7d. Receipts for the year totalled £53 Ils Bd, including £4O 18s from subscriptions, and £lO Is 2d, being proceeds of the 'garden fete. The principal items of expenditure jvere £36 on the pavilion and £lO on interest and rates. OFFICERS. , The following officers wer.c eiqcted : President, Mr. N. Clay ;sec.ret.ary, Mr G. Crisp; vice-presidents., Messrs. GBoswell,. A. HQgh, W. Herkt, and JKidd; executive committee, MessrsGeorge, Murray, A. Fawcett, and Mesdames- F. Rogers, J. Kidd, and P- Pearsen ; social committee, Misses. Parker, Rogers, Carr, Hegh, and Mesddames George, Kidd, Hegh, Boswell, Clay, Fawcett, agid Hands'; delegate to Houraki Plains Tennis Association, Mr J. Nichelson, junr. ; auditor, -Mr J. A. Gillespie. GENERAL BUSINESS. After somel discussion it was l l e " cided, on the, motion of Messrs. Herkt and Hegh, that the selection be made by means! of tlic» ladder. Subscriptions, will remain, a.t £1 8s 6d for men. 17s 6d fqr ladies, arid 5s for juniors, with reductions if paid 1 before opqning day. Subscriptions will rem ait at men tion, will remain at £1 8s 6d fur men;, 17s 6d for ladiiei, and 5s for juniors, with reductions if pa'd before opening day. The opening day was fixed for October 27. It w;as decided! to enter, two tqams in the Haura.ki Plains Tennis Association’s competitions.
