FIGURES FOB PAEROA. TWENTY-TWO WET DAYS. The rainfall for last. :mon|th, as recorded at the Paeroa office of the Public Works, Department, was 5.27 inches, being an increase of 1.53 inches o.ver ,the fall for September last. year. Raju fell op 22 days, the highest register being on the 23rd, when the fall was 1.25 inches, The tejtal for the year to date is 49.70 inches, showing an increase of 11.06 inches over the correspon|ding period of last year. GAUGINGS AT KEREPEEHL TWENTY-FOUR. WET DAYS. The rain g.a|Ug,e at. the Lands Office, Kerepeehi, reveals that some rain was recorded on 24 of the 30 days last month. This, is considerably above the, average, and except for August of last year, when there were 25 wet. days, the figure has hot been appro,acihed for many years. Tlie total fall for thei month was 5.58 inches, the highest for month of. September since 1912, when gauging ;a,t Kerepeehi was commenced, apd 2.02 indhes above; the September: average for that period. The fall in the first 21 days of the month was comparatively light, being 2.97 inches for the period, but the 1.59 inches during the 48 hours frejm 8 aim. bn the 22nd till .8 a.m. on the 24,th, and the heavy sihowers in .the hist week of the month, when 2.88 inches were recorded in eight days', brought the total up to the highest for the la,st 16 years. The tejtal rainfall for the yepr to date is 33.74 inches.
