THE YEAR’S FIGURES. PAEROA’S SHARE. A notification from the Hamilton, Borough Council concerning the heavy traffic (fees in the highways district cqntains the information that for the year ended March 31, 1928, the net amount collected on heavy traffic licenses was £2lBl 7s Bd. The total expenditure was £450,805 Its 6d, and the n.umber. Of licenses 4'508. Th e following are; some qf the interesting figures supplied :— Paeroa. —Paid intq pool. £lB5 6s 8d ; Expenditure, £13,214 12s lOd; licenses, 132 ; proportion of pool, £63 17s 6d. Te Aroha.—£lo4 0s 9d, £4176 4s 6d, 12. £2O 6s 6d. Piako.—£276 8s Del, £71,134 Is lid, 711, £344 o's lid. Wailii.—£s6 17s sd, £6837 7s 3d, 68. £32 18s Id. Thames Borough.—£l4l 8s 4d, £13,037 9s. sd, 130, £62 18s id. Thames County.—£33 7-s 10d, £16,517 19s 6d, 165, £79 16s lid; Mqrrinsville.—£46 2s 2d, £7140 138 3d, 71, £34 7s 2d. Ma.tamata.—£l69 14s 7d, £58,163 7s sd, 582, £2Bl 12s 6d.
