In response to a iaque.it from the Piako Rugby Union it was, decided to arrange for. a third-grade: representative team to play, in, a curtaimraiser to the A and B match at Te Aroha on Saurday next ;a.t 1.30 p.m. TWe matter of arranging for. ,the transporting of the team was left ihi f the hands of Mr C. Vincent. r - JUNIOR SELECTORS. C Owinjg to the junior selector, Mr H. Robins,on, having to r.e- e nter the hospital for a. further operation, Messrs Slyfield and Vincent were appointed junior selectors. DELEGATE TO T.V. UNION. r Father Taylor. wa.s elected a delegate to the Thames Valley Rugby ijjbjion in place o,f Mr D. S. Kerr. EAST JUNIORS. The chairman complimented the East junior team on its siiccer-g in winning the junior knock-out competition last Saturday. ■Mr C. Vincent returned thanks on behalf-of the team. ROBINSON FUND. Mr K. Slyfield gave a resume -qf the, organisation for.the matches toi be played in Paeroa on September 29 for the benefit of Mr H. RobinfjOn. CLOTHING, STOLEN. ; Mr Slyfield reported that last Sa.turi day ope. member of thle West club had ’ lost a coat, silk shirt, and sox, and another member, had lost a pair of trousers from the dressing-sheds. ' These losses represented a considerable suni of money, .a.nd fell particularly heavy on ,the victims. The theft:; were committed from the maih dressing-shed and the Fire Brigade shed. It was decided to leave the matter *in the hands of the chairman to communicate: with the police.
