Great Britain, Canada, and the, United States, and K extremely well informed concerning the problems of post-war civilisation in those countries. She has made a, special study of the Farm Women’s Organisations in Canada, ami she has ani accurate knowledge of the experiments in Prohibition and State ownership and control made: in the North American Continent. 4 It is, however, in the scientific method of approaching the subjects with which s'he deals that lies -Miss McCorkindale’s greatest interest and .her rer.manent value. She writes and speak ; with a complete grasp of fa.ct, and with the conviction that the Only success which is worth having is one, which is rooted firmly in the mind a’’ well as liij the heart. Miss McCorkindale has published several books on scientific temperance training. She regards the work now being done by Dr. c. C. Weeks, of the National Temperance League in England, aa the best work being don ; e in the wqrld todfiy in, .this. subject, a.ml her efforts are directed on the same lines. Her connection, with such organisations a? the National Council of Women and Women’s Clubs in different countries ensures that Miss McCorkindale is no one-sided 'enthusiast, but a wo,man of many-sided interests. It will be a great privilege to meet a woman whole experience and attainments place her in the frbnt rank of women engaged' in scientific humanitarian work.
