e — WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports , Beef. —There has been a good since our. last report, best prime ox making up to 46s per 1001 b and prime cow and heifer up to 40s. With the shortage o l , f beef it looks as if we will see vary high prices this spring. Fat Sheep.-—The market continues firm, sufficient coming forward to meet demands, but we will not be surprised to see a rise in fa.t sheetp du-ir ing the coming mqnth.' Store Sheep.—A keen inquiry exists for all classOjS, with small yardings coming -forward. Hoggets, wethers, a.nd ewes in lamb are being sought afte.ii Store Cattle. —There is a 'Strong inquiry for all classes of stores, but very few cattle are offering. It appears as if we are very short of male cattle- in the Waikato, and unless cattle are brought from outside districts buyers will find it hard to, fill requirements. Dairy Cattle-.—Coinpetition a for good dairy herds and choice springing heifers is ve'ry keen, with high prices rifling both in' the yards a,nd Daddocks. Pigs.—Good yardings of both, fats and stores are coming forward, with little change in the market. Houses. —The market is quiet. Our Cambridge Spring; .Fair takes place early this, coming mojnth, when we, will yard 5050 : horses of all classes from all the, best-known breeders.
