THE TOUR OF ENGLAND. A DEFICIENCY OF £4674. A loss of £4674 on Hie tour, of the New Zealand cricket team in England ill 1927 is shown hi the balance-sheet qf New Zealand Cricket, Ltd., the company which was formed to finance tire; tour. The total expenses' were £9978, and the chief items of income were match proceeds £4241, and a grant of £lOO9 from the New Zealand Government. Sharehqiders will receive, a refund of &s 6d for every £1 of capital called up. The authorised capital of the company was 12,000 sharers of £1 each. c.f jwhich 1.1,407 shares were allotted. These were called up .to 10s each, giving £5703 10s. Shares to the number of 2140 were, however, fully paid' up, giving an extra. 10s on each share, or £lO7O, and a total capital of £6773 10 s . It is proposed ta repay ip full the ca.lls paid in advance, absorbing and of the remajuden of the' £5703.105, to refund 2s 9d per. share on the 10s paid up.
