Public Notices. Hauraki Plains Rating Area. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES. NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Hauraki Plains Act, 1926, to make and levy a rate for the period from Ist April, 1928, to the 31st March, 1929, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act. The amount of such rate will be payable in one sum on the 10th day of September, 1928. The Valuation Roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector ot Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, 5 Law Court Buildings, High Street, Auckland, and a copy of the same may be inspected at the office of the Chief Drainage Engineer at Kerepeehi at all times al which those offices are open for transaction of public business. PURSUANT to "The Land Drainage Act, 1908,” and the Amendments thereto, and to Section Seven of ‘' The J y ocal Elections and Polls Act, 1925,” (as amended), I hereby give notice that an election will be held on Wednesday, the J2th day of September, 192<8, for the purpose ol electing Five Trustees to be the Board of Trustees for the Nelherton Drainage District; and 1 hereby appoint my residence, Awaiti Road, Netherton, as the place, and Thursday, the 30th day of August, 1928, (before noon), as the day, for the nomination of Candidates for such office. Loan of £5OOO over the Pate’tonga Riding Roads Loan Special Rating Area for the Construction of Roads therein as set out hereunder. PURSUANT to Section. 10 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” the provisions of Section 8 of “ The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,” having been complied with, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN 1. That it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council to borrow the sum of £5OOO for the construction of roads as set out hereunder: (a) Main Road, Pollen’s Outlet to Northern Riding Boundary, (b) Patetonga Landing Road. (c) Top Road, Southern County Boundary to Woodyard’s Corner. (cl) Mangawhero Road. 2. That as security for the payment of the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said Loan it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a Special Rate of One penny three-farthings (lid) in the £ on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Patetonga Riding Roads Loan Special Rating Area. 3. That it is not the intention, of the said Council to pay out of the Loan the costs of raising the Loan or the first year’s interest and sinking fund on the Loan. 4. That it is the intention of the said Council to establish a Sinking Fund of 4f per cent, per annum for the repayment of the Loan, or alternatively to repay the Loan by Thirty (30) halfyearly equal instalments of. interest and principal. 5. That the said Loan is for a period of Fifteen (15) years at a rate of interest not exceeding 6 per cent, per annum. The said Special Rating Area includes the whole of Patetonga Riding as at present constituted, with the exception of the following :— Section 1 and Lots 1,2, 3,4, 5, and 6 of Section 6, Block 1., Waitoa S.D. PURSUANT to Section 11 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Patetonga Riding Roads Loan Special Rating Area will be taken on Tuesday, the 18th day of September, 1928, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., on a proposal to raise a Loan of £5OOO for the construction of roads in Patetonga Riding, to be known as the “Patetonga Riding Roads Loan of £5000,” at the following Polling Place - Public Hall, Patetonga.
