POLAND CUI’ FIXTURES. TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. There: will be no seniqij game played at the local domain to-morrow, as the Paeroa senior representative team journeys to Wai hi, where it will play in tile Poland Cup competition. The ma.teh should prove an interesting exhibition of Rugby, and 1 it is safe to, predict that a large number of local supporters will accompany the te.a,m to Waihi. At Ngatea the Hauraki Plains and Pia.ko senior teams will meet in the same competition.
The principal attraction at the Wai domain w'll be the final in the junior, competiiton between West ami Suburbs. The previous matches between these Two tea;ms this seaso 1 ’ have resulted in two draws and a win each. To-morrow the struggle isi bound to be of an interesting nature, a,nd spectators should be treated to a goocl period of football. The West team is right but to, emulate bhe victory of its senior team, which ha.s won that competition from the Suburbs seniors. La,st season the East juniors won the competition, with West as runners-up, while Suburibs was last on the list. The ma,tch is to commence at. 3 pan. Mr R. Walsh, of Waihi, has been selected as refuee.
As a curtain-raiser; the East juniors are to play a game against the Thames Ccjllegc Old Boys’ team on the No. 2 groundi, coipmencing a.t 1.45 pan. A < hMj,ngements are well in hand in connection with the forthcoming Northern Roller Mills Shield competition, which will be held during nelxt week. The eight teams taki.ng'part in the competition are to be billeted, as folio,ws :— Section I.— Hamilton. Waipa,. Thames Valley, .billeted at Paeroa ; Auckland A, billeted! at Hiku.taia. Section II. —King Country and Auckland B, billeted at Te Aroha; South Auckland and Auckland C, billeted at Waihi. The teams are a,ll expected to ait 'live, on Monday by various trains. They will be met at the station by officials and conducted to their billets. The matches will commence on Tuesdaty afternoon,> but details as to .the draw in the matches for the Paero.a section have no.t yet been decided 1 . A meeting of the sub-c'omm‘ittee elected by. the Paeroa Rugby Union is caille'd for to-night at. 8 o’clock, to make arrangements regarding entertaining the boys.
