THE DAIRYING SEASON.
OPTIMISM ON THE PLAINS. COUNTRY IN GREAT HEART.
If the present indications arc any guide, the coming dairying season should be a very good one on the Hauraki Plains.
The long, spell of very dry weather last summer, which cracked and sweetened the ground and the mild winter with an absence of rain ip detrimental quantities have brought, the country into great heart, feed being plentiful and stock healthy and well forward. Already the quantity of milk and cream arriving at the various dairy factories is assuming large proportions for this time of the year, and the supply is rapidly increasing. Satisfactory prices for dairy produce anti. fa.rm by-products seem assured, and an optimistic outlook prevails throughout the district.
