NGATEA FACTORY FUNCTION.

SUPPLIERS entertained;

Co-operation between dairy factory suppliers and dairy factory staff was manifested a..t Ngatea on- Wednesday, when a complimentary social was tendered the suppliers and their friends by tlie staff of the N.Z. Cooperative Dairy Company’s butter factory.

At the last Waika-to Winter show certain cash prizes for butter, exhibits were won by the Ngatea factory, and tlie money was forwarded to the staff. Realising that prize-winning butter could not be made without the loyal assistance of the suppliers, the factory staff desired the suppliers to ■ share in the £6-odd of prize-money, • and to that end devised this free: dance and euchre tournament.

A large number of dancers accepted’ the. invitation, and a very pleasant time was spent, Mr. J. Neate M.C.. and the- music was by Mayne’s Ngatean Orchestra..

The euchre tournament was won by Mrs W. G. Hayward and M-n W. Williams, while the consolation prizes went to Mi's Dickson and Mr S. Phillips.
