THAMES DEFEATS PAEROA. LARGE SCORE BY HOME TEAM. The A team of the Paeroa Ladies’ Hockey Club journeyed to Tliam.es on Saturday afternoon and played a friendly' match against the College Old Girls’ eleven. The home side proved too solid a combination for the visitors, and after rather an unequal struggle won by seven goals to nil. The scorers were Misses P. Boyle (3), M. Ritchie (2), F. Gordon, and J. Willetts. Mr. J. Brokenshire was referee. At the conclusion of the match the .visitors were entertained to dinner by the Thames Hockey Association. GAMES ON THE PLAINS. LAST SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The Hauraki Plains ladies’ interclub competition was advanced a further- stage on Saturday. The Waitakaruru team beat Kopua*teihi B by three goals to nil, the scorers being Misses F. JJerney (2) and A. Peters. ! The Ngatea High School team beat Kenepeehi by .three; to. one. Misses K. McKerehar (2) and M. Elliott were the scorers for School, and Miss E. Hegh shot Kerepeehi’s goal. Miss-Ethel .Candy (2) and Mrs T. O’Carroll (2), of the Kopnarahi A team, w.ere the only scorers in the match with Turua. The Ngatea ladies’ team had a bye and played Te Aroha at Te Aroha, winning by three. goals to one. Misses L. C. Ellis (2) .and T. McKerehar were the scorore for Nga.tea.
