MINING INSPECTOR.
A POPULAR OFFICIAL. TRIBUTE BY COUNTY COUNCIL. At last Thursday’s meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council the chairman mo ved that thfe. co unci place on record its appreciaton of the services rendered to the council by Mr M. Paul. In moving the resolution Cr. Corbett said that it had alw.ays been a pleas.ure to work with'Mr Paul. He had always been a most courteous official, and his advice they had always found' to be sound. The council and tlie mining, industry owed a good deal to Mr Pauli for what he had doneCr. Morrison, in seconding the resolution, said that Mr Paul'had been fain in all his dealings, and; had been a valuable asset*to the mining industry in every way. Cr. Morris also spoke, of the painstaking manner in which Mr Paul had carried out his duties, and endorsed the remarks of the other speakers. Tije, resolution was carried unanimously.
