PAEROA LADIES’ CLUB.

A TEAM DEFEATS B TEAM.

On Saturday afternoon the Paeroa ladies’ A and B teams played a friendly match at the domain;. Both sides fielded full teams, and although the B’s were defeated by five goals to nil the game was fa,st and interesting, and was not ’the easy victory that the score indicates. The B team was formed only a couple, of months ago, and considering that ft has. no official coach and has played ,very few 1 games, the showing on Saturday was very creditable. Individually the B team has some good players, and with practice and efficient coaching it will be a team to be reckoned with before next, season is far advanced. The A team gained its victory on Saturday on account of having; motf combination and a better all-round' knowledge of the game. For the winners goals were' netted by Misses Shand (4) and A. O’Neil. Mr L. Mahon was referee. GAMES ON THE PLAINS. The Hauraki Plains ladies’ interclub competition was brought to within a fortnight of conclusion on) Saturday, wh'en three matches were' played.At Ngatea' the High School team beaf. the ladies’ tfeanf by two goals ta ; . one.
