ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-MORROW.

FOUR SPORTS BODIES TO TRAVEL.

Given a reasonably fine day tomorrow, there will be a 1& 1 go influx of visitors to Tauranga, and it is expected that there are not many people at Paeroa who will fail to take ad vantage of the excursion to thp chief town in the Bay .of Plenty. The trip has been arranged by the Paeroa Rugby Union, and in addition to the senior and junior representative teams the local district high school is also sending a high school team and a primary school tieam. The Basketball Association has en-y tered t"ree teams and the - ConveiW one ; the Pae-roa Ladies’ Hockey Club is sending an A and B combined team, and the Golf Club is sending a team of six men and six lady players-,. in addition, to about 125 representar tives of winter games it is confidently expected that a large number, of the general public of Pa.eroa and district will make the trip. The local Rugby Union has made provision for a hot mid-day m.eal .at Tauranga for the senior, and junior teams and the ladies’ hockey teajn, while it is understood that the various sports clubs at. Tauranga are arranging for. afternoon tea for the visitors. A period of about, seven hours will be spent at Tapranga. and those excursionists ,who hade no interest in the various games will no doubt'find plenty to interfefit.them. ' addition to sight-sbeing. all busincssT prehiiscs are open at Taura,nga on Saturday afternoons and evenings. The special train leaves from Paeroa at 8-30 to-morrow morning, and is due to arrive a.t Tauranga at 11.40 a.m. Arrangements have been made for the train to arrivp and depart H -from The Strand station,’which is in th e heart of the town, and will thus save the motor-bus trip from the Tauranga, station to the town. Day excursion tickets will, be issued from Paeroa to Tauranga, but such tickets win not be available for break of journey. The return fades from Paer,oa are, 8s 6d first-class and 5s 9d sec-ond-class. The train will leave ranga op the return trip at- 6 p.m.]\ and is due’ to reach Paeroa at 9.5 p.m. The union has arranged with the Railway Department for ample seating .accommodation, and as far as pos- . sible thb various teams will travel in - reserved carriages.
