WEDDING

HARVEY—VAGG.

A .wedding which aroused much interest, among a large cricle of friends and relations took place at Ngatea on June 27, when Grace Marjor’e, second daughter of Mr .and Mrs Charles Vagg, of Ngatea, was married to Reginald Meredith, younger sop. of Mr -T. Harvey, of Morrinsville. The' ceremony, which took place in the Public Hall, was performed by Mr Doherty, of Hamilton. The bride was given .away by her father, and wore,a frock of ivory brocaded crepe de chine tnimined with, finely-treated georgette edged with guipure lace, and finished with sash and bow lined with pal'e pink and caught jvith diamante ornament. She wore an embroidered tulle veil with a coronet of orange blossoms, and her shower 'bouquet composed of white and pale pink flowers. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids.' Miss Jean Vagg, her sister, was chief bridesmaid, and wore a gown of apple green crepe de chine, pleated and trimmed with cream guipure lace. Miss Barbara Har.vey, neice of the bridegroom, wore old rose crepe de chine trimmed with knife pleating .and cream guipure lace Both wore hats and carried bouquets to match their frocks. Mr Gordon Harvey, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, while the duties of groomsman were undertaken by Mr Thomas Mcllwain, the bridegroom’s nephew. . After the ceremony a recept' on was held at Montgomery’s tea-rooms, and the usual toasts were honoured. Mr and Mrs Harvey left later, by car for their, honeymoon, the bride travelling in a frock of blue and fawn repp, hat to tone, and grey fur.
