HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. ( Ltd., report:— At the weeky stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuesday we, had a good entry of fat cattle, and prices wore firm for prime cow and heifer beief, at late ruling rates. Extra heavy prime cows £ll 10s. to £l2, good quality prime heavy young cows ancl heifers £lO Is to £ll is., medium prime £S 9s to £9 0s 6d, lighter prime £7 to £B. plain, and unfinished £5 to £6 'ss, Runners £3 to £4 10s, store cows £3 10s to £4 yearling Jersey and Jersey cross heifers £3 10s to £3 16s, 2% to 3-year steers. £7 2s 6d. A full yarding of fat and store sheep am] 1 breeding e.wes were- offered. Fats lacked the competition of previous sales, and values reached were 2s to 3s, a head lower than late markets. All classes of stores also sold at lower rates. The majority of the yarding comprised l chiefly ewes in lamb. Although the competition was not up to expectations, practically all lots were cleared at satisfactory prices. Medium fat wethers 365, extra heavy prime fat ewes 34s to 355, mc-dium-we:ght fat ewes 29s to 29s 6d. good prime woolly hoggets 30s. 6d to 325. fair forward-conditioned 'hoggets 23s to 21s. small hoggets 17s 6d to 21s. 2-tooth wethers 28s 9d; medium quality S-M. ewes, in lamb to S.D. and Leicester rams. 25s 3d to 25s 6d>; S.M. ewes well forward in lamb to S.D. rams sokl to 31s, 6d.
