RIFLE SHOOTING.
PABBOA DEFENCE CLUB. F. C. HUBBARD WINS TROPHY. Seven members of the Paeroa Defence Rifle Chib took part in. the shoot on Saturday afternoon last for tiie trophy presented by Mr Edwin Edwards. The conditions were seven sliots at the 200 and' the 300 yards ranges, a “sightcr” being allowed at each. The conditions for shooting were good, and satisfactory scores were registered. The winner proved to be Rfm. F. C. Hubbard, who put up » fine total of 66 points off the rifle. Captain H. Simmonds also shot particularly well, ami was second with a score of 62. At the 200yds range he shot perfectly, and rattled on the possible—7 buHs-cyes. Following are the details:—
