The bandbag in question, it is reported, was found by small boys, who decided, instead of seeking the owner, to have a feast of sweets bought, with money taken from the bag. The rest of the money, which amounted to about £H, was securely hidden in. the Memorial Park and the bag used as a football. One lad let the cat out.of the bag by asking his mother if he could get five notes for one. Inquiries were then made and the exploints of the boys discovered. A total of £2 Bs, it is reported, ihad been spent on confectionery, but the balance was returned to the owner of the bag.
