ACCIDENT TO SCHOOLGIRL. SLIGHT CONCUSSION SUSTAINED. An accident, befell Helen Ropcli, the nipe-year.old daughter of Mr P. Roach, Netherton, on Friday afterpeon shortly before 4 o’clock. The girl, with her brother, was riding out to her home from School, and when passing along Belmont Ro,ad in the vicinity of the Paeroa Hotel the whistling of a passing railway engine startled the horse, and, .becoming restive-, it dislodged the riders. The girl, fell heavily on to the bitumen paving and sustained slight concussion and She was carried into the hotel ami Dr. Little summoned.

After receiving attention the little sufferer was removed' to the Arohapui private hospital- where she- -ijs reported to be making a good recovery. The boy was not injured beyond slight abrasions.
