a HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. ( Ltd. ( report At Frankton on Tuesday wc hail a fair yqrding of beef, a good entry of fat and store sheep, a heavy yarding of fat pigs, and a small entry of store cattle. Beef was again firm, with prices slightly better than tha,previous week, and- fat sheep met with good competition. There was a good demand for all classes of store sheep, and fat pigs, were on a par with the previous sale. A small entry of store pigs met with good competition at Improved prices. We quote : — Prime medium-weight steers £l2 7s 6d, fat steers £ll 5s to £l2 15s; prime heavy fat cows £11; prime fat heifers £9 10s ; fat cows I£B to £9 Ils, plain and unfinished. £5 3s to £6 ss, prime ve-alers £3 Ils to £3 17s 6d ; 3-year steers £6 10s ; Jersey heifer calves £3 7s ; store cows £3 to £3 10s; Jerseyicro'Ss springing heifers £9 to £9 10s. Sheep : Prime Heavy fat wethers 39s to £2 2s 6d, light 375; forward wethers 33s 9d ; prime 'fat hoggets 30s 6d to 31& 6d. store hoggets 18s to 21s 2d ; 2tooth ewes in lamb 34s 3d ; small 2 and 4-tooth ewes, low condition, 23s 3d ; aged ewes in lamb 17s 6d to 18s 6d ; aged rams 16s 6d ; cull ewes 10s 6d. Pigs : Best baconers £3 17s to £4 2s. medium £3 6s to £3 10s ; prime porkers £2 15s to £2 18s, others £2 5s to £2 Bs, small. £1 9s to £1 12s;; weaners 10s to 16s 6d.
