Two Waitakaruru settlers, Messrs N. Death and A. D'ckson, a,nd their wives and families, were publicly farewelled at a largely attended function. in the Public Hall last Tueslay evening. Both men have been farming year. Waitakaruru for a number of years. As a remembrance token from the residents of the district Mr C. W.’Harris presented each gentleman with a wallet a,nd each iady with a clock. Who goes there ? The challenge bold ; Have you rough, or have you cold ? _Hail ’. The simple countersign ' ?
