PAEROA RUGBY UNION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union held its weekly meeting on Monday night, the chairman (Mr W. P. Pennell) presiding over. Messrs M. Crosby, H. Tarns, E. Edwards, J. Pinder, Father Taylor, find Mr D. S. Kerr (secretary). STATUS OF-PLAYERS. A clearance from the West juniors to the East juniors was granted' to L. Masters. A request from the Eas,t club asking that J. Rackham be regraded from senior to junior status was reconsidered. The applicant appeared before the meet’ng and explained, his reasons for requiring to be regraded. After some discussion, in view of the special circumstances it was resolved to grant the request. PLAYERS SUSPENDED. A report, was Received from Mr T. C. Arnold (referee) advising that during the playing of the West v. Suburbs junior match at Hikutaia on Saturday he had been forced, to order. V. Ha.lte (West) and J. Saunders (Suburbs) off the field for unseemly behaviour. It was decided to uphold the action of the referee, and the two players concerned were suspended for one playing Saturday. KARANGAHAKE PLAYERS. With reference to the plqyers J. Lee, C. O’Brien, and Jack Rackham, a. letter was received from the Waihi Union advising that the Waikino chib maintained that the players concerned were eligible to play for that club under t;he. Wai’hi Union. It was stated by Mr Tams that after making careful inquiries he was. satisfied that the men were still actually residing within the Paeroa Union’s boundaries. i It was decided to hand the- matter over to the Thames Valley Union, in the meantime the suspension placed on the players to remain in force. TRANSPORT. The tender of Messi’s Brenan and Co. for tlie transport of players was accepted for season. MANAGERS APPOINTED. The manager appointed to travel with the senior representative team to Ngatea bn Saturday was Mr Pennell, the team to assemble at 1.4'5 p.m. sharp. Mr Kerr, was appointed manager of the junior representative team.' PEACE CUP. After some discussion it was resolA’ed to lodge a challenge with the Waikato Rugby Union. for the Peace Cup. GRAZING ON DOMAIN. The chairman referred to the inconvenience caused by the slieep grazing on the playing fields in the domain, and suggested that grazing right®, should be cancelled during the remainder of the football season. 1 The suggestion was unanimously supported, and it was decided to leave the matter un the hands of Mr. Pinder to ascertain what arrajigements could be made. VOTE OF SYMPATHY. The chairman referred to the serious illness- at Hamilton Hospital; ,of the junior, selector, Mr H. Robinson, and It was decided to send him a, letter of sympathy, expressing good wishes for a speedy- and permanent recovery. Mr Kerr was appointed acting junior, selector. FINANCE. ■ The secretary reported that the gate receipts at Paeroa on Saturday’ last totalled. £lO 4s. v REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS. The senior and junior representative teams are notified that they are required to attend at -the drill-shed not later than 7.30 to-morrqwi night.
