HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co tj Ltd., report:— At the weekly stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuesday we had a. good entry.of principally cow and heifer beef, and values were easier than those reached at previous, sales. Medium weight good quality prime steers £l3 ; lighter £11; light and young £8 8s; prime heavy cows £9 to £9 175.; medium prime cows and (heifers £7 15s to £8 ; light prime £7 to £7 8s; rough and unfinished £4 to £5.
A fair entry of store cattle met with good competition for all classes, 354-year steers: making £6 15s to £7, rising 3-year steers £5 to £6 Is, fresh conditioned cows £4 to £4 5'S ; store cows £3 to. £3 5s ; culls 26s to 30!s ; fair quality Jersey and Jersey cross weaner heifers £3 12s 6d to £4 25.; small £2 to £2 10s ; S.H. and Holstein heifer calves £2 to £2 Is.
A fair entry of mutton wa.s penned and sold at advanced ra,tes. Extraprime good, quality heavy lambs and 2-tooths 40s 6d ; light to medium wethers 345, store wethers 30s JLOd; prime ewes 31s, medium 275, light and unfinished 23s 5d to 25s 3d ; woolly hoggets, mixed sexes, condition 26s to 26s lOd, medium mixed Sex hoggets 21s 6d to 23s lOd. A full number of fat pigs was penned andi sold well up to rates. Prime heavy baconers £4 8s to £4 16s, medium £3 15s to £4, light £3 3s to £3 8s ; heavy porkers £2 8® to £2 l’ss, light 30S. to 36s ; slips 14s to 17s 6d ; weaners 6's to Ils.
