SAVOL. 98 PER CENT. RESULTS. SATISFIED FARMERS. ■ Every dairy farmer, to achieve the maximum results, requires to keep dose attention upon his, herds. (Once he has discovered their ailments he must be conversant with the remedy will afford the most efficacious 7 results. It is a provgn fact tha.t the most serious disease affecting dairy cows in New Zealand is contagious abortion, and reliable authorities have estimated that the financial drain upon the industry through this ... cause is £1,500,006 annually. That this fell disease can be successfully prevents,d and cured by the use of Savol, the scientific preparation, . is proved by leading dairy farmers throughout the Dominion. The great advantage of this mixture is that it is specially formulated by Scientists ' in chemistry and physiology so as to act as a blood absorbent to the cow’s, syfe.tem. Part of the mixture irrigates and sterilises the local parts, and the other" parts of the mixure enter, the S/W*" blood by a process of absorption ' through ’the several glands attached to the organs that are irrigated. There is veterinary testimony to the claim that in dealing with cows which have hitherto been non-breed-ers, 90 per cent, of the cows treated and which have not produced cajves for years prior" to the treatment have responded splendidly. After the period calving,,too, by the use of “Savol” ■ there is such an effective result that th§ milk yield is at its pe,ak right from the start. When a cow calves, even though healthy to all appearances, immediate treatment should not be neglected. It is a simple matter to clean her out by treating with - “Saiol” with the up-to-date Bursel syringe. Th'is, will save later trouble, 1 as the disease of contagi ius abortion is usually lurking about the herds, awaiting a. favourable opportunity to manifest itself. A testimony to the * virtues of Savol is provided by the expansive order results. Every man ' called on last year and .again called on this year has repeated his order for Savol. Dairy farmers who have

not yet used Savol, as well as those who have,., are earnestly invited to visit the Show stand in the Roots Section. It will mean money to them. This company is sole agents for the latest and most up-to-date BurseU Cattle Syringes, wtth milk fever outfit. All the above goods are obtainable from all branches, of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. PATENT RIM TOOL. A BOON TO MOTORISTS. The motorist these days has many cares thrust upon him, and any invention that will ease his burden is readily looked forward to. A patent being demonstrated' by Mr Crabbe, of Te Aroha, is a tyre rim tool, wfliicli will prove its undoubted' efficiency in a very short time. No time is lost in. getting the tyre off and attached again, and the minutes and trouble saved in this way are valuable to the many motorists who have compulstory stops by the roadside as. the result of tyre troubles.. Mr Crabbe’s patent, which is in the Motor Olympia section, is simple, and efficient at the moderate cost of 255, postage- paid,/ THAT LITTLE EXTRA. It is always the little extra that brings the profit, and this is just where the “Mo'osette” feeder can help you. However good the pastures may be. cows are kept in better condition and milk more consistently and for a longer period when fed a small quantity of “Moose” Nuts ;at milking time. A “Moosette” feeder saves time and enables the cows to be fed with the least trouble. All you need to do is to pull the trigger, and down comes a measured feed. The “Moosette feeder is the stepping-stone to prosperity. The N.Z. Cattlecake and Oil Company will forward you one on approval. If you like it you may keep it and forward t'he modest sum of £1 2s 6d.
