Public Notices. PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES IN THE BOROUGH OF PAEROA. NOTICE is hereby given that the Paeroa Borough Council, at a Meeting to be held in the Borough Council Chambers, Normanby Road, on the 14th day of June, 1928, at 7.30 p.m., will make and levy the following rates for the period commencing on the Ist April, 1928, and ending on the 31st March, 1929, under: Sections 77-79, 88, and 94 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” Sections 48 and 50 of “The Rating Act, 1908,” Section 5 of “The Rating Amendment Act, 1913,” Section 10 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1923,” and Sections under “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” namely:— A GENERAL RATE of Bid in the £. A SEPARATE LIGHTING RATE of 9-16 d in the £. A SEPARATE HOSPITAL RATE of 15-16 d in the £. And in order to provide Interest and Sinking Fund, to collect the following Special Rates of: l-16d in the £ on the £650 borrowed for Financial Adjustment purposes, such being part of the Special Rate of Id) in the £ struck on the 17th day of May, 1917, on the annual value. 2|d in the £ on the £3400 borrowed for Sewerage Works, such being part of the Special Rate of 4|d in the £ struck on the 20th day of September, 1921. Id in the £ on the £11,250 borrowed for Street Improvements Works, such being part of the Special Rate of l|d in the £ struck on the 20th day of September, 1921. l-16d in the £ on the £l,ooo' borrowed for Domain Improvement Works, such being part of a Special Rate of id in the £ struck on the 18th day of October, 1923. 8d in the £ on the £2OOO borrowed for the Relief of Unemployment, such being a Special Rate struck on the 14th day of July, 1927. All the above rates are on the unimproved value on the Valuation Roll of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa. Notice is hereby given that the Valuation Roll is open for inspection at the Borough Council Chambers, Normanby Road. Estimated receipts, rents, licenses, transfers from separate accounts, outstanding rates, etc., £3239 0s 4d.
