The question of establishing a casein factory at Ngateh, to be ri#b in conjunction with the butter factory, is receiving consideration by the settlers, within easy ca.r.ting distance. The suggestion is to have the whole milk carted by cointractors, in a similar way to the present ci.eam cartage system.

Approximately one-lith of the annual .maintenance cost of Auckland hospital, including overhead charges, is absbrbed in bills for food.
