HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering • Co. ( Ltd., report:—

At the weekly stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuedsay last we had a moderate yarding of beef cattle, and competition was keen throughout, the previous week’s rates being well maintained. An average yarding of fat sheep were penned and values declined a little to those ruling at last week’s sale. The usual heavy yarding of f.at pigs came forward, and were in strong demand and values advanced. All classes of stores showed a considerable improvement to the low rates that have been ruling of late.

Beef.—Good quality light weight primes bullocks £l2 10s to £l3 10s ; best good quality prime hea.vy cows and 'heifers £lO to £ll ss, medium weight prime £8 10s to £9 15s, light £6 10'S to £8 ; store and 'fresh conditioned cows, £2 15s to £4 ss.

She, ep—Small prime wethers 32s to 33s ; best prime owes sold t'o 27sj 7d, .medium weight 25s 8d to 265, lighter, 24s to 24s 6d, prime lambs 26s sd, lighter sorts 22s 9d; s.m. ewes in lamb to Romney rams 26s 6d, f.m. ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 24s' 6d, good woolly mixed sex lambs, in good order, 24® '4d.

Pigs.—Prime heavy baconers, £4 8s to £4 163, medium baconers £3 16s to. £4 3s : , light baconers £3 to £3 8s; hea.vy porkers £2 10s to £2 17s 6d, light porkers 30s to 38s, slips 15s to 18s ; weaners: 8s to 12s.
