This information was given to our representative by a member of the factory staff, and there was not time to verify it before publication', nor was it thought that the report, under the circumstances, in which it was received. needed verification. We regret that our mistake has caused' the factory manager to answer numerous inquiries from suppliers. A meeting of the Paeroa Fire Council was held last night, the Mayor (Mr W. Marshall) presiding. After a lengthy discussion the reports of the council and fire brigade were referredi for further considera.tion at the next meeting of the Borough Council.
