HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers Co-operative Auction-1 eerinjg Co., Ltd-, report: — At the weekly stock alse held in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, 17th inst., there was a full yarding of stock of all classes. Beef maintained late values, and mutton was in firm demand. A large qntrv of good quality store to forward bullocks was submitted. Competition for this class was not as keen as at other late sales. However, the whole qntry was cleared at satisfactory prices. There was an extra heavy yarding of fat and store pigs, and the competition for fats was firm, while stores were dull of sale.

Beef.—Medium weight prime steers sold to £l3 15s; lighter £ll 15s ; best prime fat cows £8 _los to £9 12s 6d; medium weights £7 5s to £8 7s 6d ; light £6 5s to £7 ; good runners £4 Is to £4' l?s ; young and light vealers £1 19s to £2 17s 6d.

Store Cattle. —Good forward conditioned 3 and 4-year Hereford bullocks £8 10s to £9 ’ss.; ‘.Shorthorn, same age, £8 10s to £9 16s; rough steers £5 10s to £6. A line of freshconditioned empty Polled Angus cows made from £5 2s 6d to £6 2s.

Sheep—Prime, fat wethers 32s 3d to 33s ; unfinished wethers 27s to 295; fat ewes to 24s 3d; prime fat lambs 265, lighter 22s Id, small 18s 6d ; 4

and ‘5-year ewes in lamb to S.D. ram 29s 6d.

Pigs.—Heavy -baconers £3 10s to £4', light £3-8s to £3 12s; heavy porkqrs £2 15s to £3 3s, light 355. to £2 5s ; slips 10s to 13s ; wqahers 4s to Bs.
