KOPUARAHI. BIRTHDAY PARTY. A very pleasant social evening was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Russell Green, Kopuarahi, last Saturday evening, when over sixty guests assembled to honour Mis£ Leila Green on her seventeenth birthday. A toast to M'ss Green was proposed by the Rev. 'Father Digman, apd the toast to her parents wais proposed by Mi; J. C. Miller. Music, dancing,, and competitions were held.

KEREPEEHI. PERSONAL. Mr G. Merz, late of Armstrong•'Whitworth’s Arapuni staff, has been appointed draughtsman at the Kerepeehi office of the Lands Drainage Department, in place of Mr I.: D. Jones, who has been promoted to the Auckland office of the Department. Mr Jonqs will not be leaving for some weeks. DANCE AND EUCHRE. The Oddfellows. Lodge of Kerepeehi held a very successful dance and progressive euchre tournament last Saturday evening in aid of the lodge social funds. The attendance was satisfactory, and a pleasant evening was spent. The music was supplied by the orchestra of the Netherton Oddfellows Lodge, which donated its fee to the Kerepeehi Lodge. The euchre prizes were won by Musi Hing and Mr Speedy, while Mr and Mrs Bourne were awarded the consolation prizes.
