HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— At the weekly-stock market in the Frankton yards on Tuesday we had a J faJr; entry of fat cattle, being princir pally cows and heifers. Th© quality was not up to the standard of the previous week, and values if anything were slightly easier, steer beef selling firm at liate rates. Store; cattle pens were weH filled and thefie was a strong demand for all classes, especially store to forward bullocks. There was a medium number of fat and is-tore sheep penne,d. Fats sold firm at further advanced rates, while all stores were keenly competed foi. ' Fat and store pigs were yarded in the usual large numbej-s, fats selling " firm and stores at late unimproved rates. Beef. —Light fat steers Sold to £lO 10s, small and unfinished £5 17s to £7 Is ; prime fat cows and heifers £8 10s "W" to £9 17s 6d, medium weights, £7 to I £8 2s 6d-; forward cows. £4 to £5 10s, vealeits £2 14s to £3. Store Cattle. —Grown bullocks solid up to £8 12s, 3%-yeart steers £6 15s to £7 10s, 2%ryear steers £5 15s to £6 7s 6d, 18-months steers £4 I’Sfe; heifer calves 38s to £2. Sheep.—Prime fat wethers 32s 6d to 33s 3d, lighter 30s to 31s ; extra ' good prime ewes 30s 2d, other pnime ewqs 25s to 26s 3d ; fat lambs £1 to 235; breeding ewes £1 to 225, low-con-ditioned s.m. ewes 14s 6d to 14s 9, forwardj-c'onditioned ewes 17s to 19s ; good store lambs 16is 9d to 17s. pigs.—Heavy baconers £4 3s to £4 12s, medium £3 8s to £3 15s; best porkers £2 10s, lighter 37s ; good slips 2:ls, to 28s; weanens and; small (slips 14s to 17s, small weaiiers 7s to Ils.
