HOST MEETS HIS DEATH.

A “friendly airgument” .at a patty in Paddington ended in tragedy, says a Sydney paper.

Wilfred Burridge (31), ’bus conductor, was. killed, and his mate, David Robert Campbell (31), ’bus conductor, has been charged with bringing about his death. Burridge gave a party at his home in Shadforth Street, and, according to the police, shortly after ten o’clock a friendly spar developed between Burridge and Campbell. The guests laughed at their antics, until Burridge ■slipped and struck the back of his head heavily upon the floor. He became unconscious, and at .11 p.m. was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in a motomcar.

The police were called, and the wireless patrol visited the house. They took Campbell to the Paddington Police Station. He was; charged with having inflicted grievous bodily harm upon Burridge. Towards mornjng Burri'dge’s condition grew worse, and ;at 6.10 : a.m. 'he died. Campbell was in the Paddington lockj-up, ais ; he had made no application. for. bail.
