TRAGEDY AT AMSTERDAM
WOMAN BROKER WOUNDED. HUSBAND FATALLY SHOT. LONDON, March 26. A message from Amsterdam says a sensation was, created in Stock Exchange and society circles there by the news of a tragic shooting affair. Madame Van Eegfien, a niqce of Sir Henri- Deterding, directon-general of the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company, the only woman member of the Stock Exchange, was found in her home with a biull.et in her head. The bulled was extra ted, but her condition is cuitical.
Madame Van Eeghen’s husband, a prominent rubber merchant, waft found fatally shot with a revolver. Sir Henri was interviewed at his home, Sunninghill Park, Ascot, late to-night, but he was unaware of thci occurrence.
